Watering Schedule

The use of water for lawns is regulated between May 1 and October 1. It is important to note that the schedule varies depending on the equipment you use.

Automatic Watering

Between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.
Manual Mechanical Watering

Between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Your watering schedule depends exclusively on the last digit of your address:

• Monday: Addresses ending in 0 or 1
• Tuesday: Addresses ending in 2 or 3
• Wednesday: Addresses ending in 4 or 5
• Thursday: Addresses ending in 6 or 7
• Friday: Addresses ending in 8 or 9

Care of gardens and flowers

    The watering regulations in Lorraine allows greater frequency for your decorative plants and vegetables. You may water your flower beds and vegetable gardens three days per week.

    Monday, Wednesday, Friday: Addresses ending in 0, 1, 4, 5, 8, and 9
    Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: Addresses ending in 2, 3, 6, and 7
    Manual watering

    Manual watering with an automatic shut-off hose is permitted at any time. This includes maintaining pots, planters, and newly planted trees.

    Exceptions for new lawns

    Are you installing new sod or a new landscaping design? You must request an authorization certificate from the Urban Planning Department. This special permit allows you to water daily for fifteen consecutive days. However, you must comply with the established morning or evening time blocks. As a useful note, on the exact day of installation you may water at any time.
